AESTHETIC SKIN TREATMENTS
Dissolving Dermal Fillers
Safe, medically-led filler correction at MAK Clinic
Not all filler results meet expectations, whether due to poor placement, overfilling, or simply a change of heart. At MAK Clinic Knutsford, we offer treatment for dissolving dermal fillers using Hyaluronidase, a clinically proven enzyme that safely breaks down hyaluronic acid-based fillers.
This treatment, performed exclusively by Nurse Prescriber Practitioners, ensures safe correction in a controlled medical environment. Whether you're seeking a full reversal or subtle adjustment, we’re here to help you regain control of your aesthetic journey.
How Dermal Filler Dissolving Works at MAK Clinic
A safe and supportive correction process
The decision to dissolve dermal fillers can feel overwhelming—but you’re in expert hands at MAK Clinic. We take a medically responsible, consultative approach to ensure you understand the process and feel supported at every step.
What to expect:
Consultation & Assessment
We evaluate the area and confirm the filler type and placement. (Note: only hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved.)
Patch test
Hyaluronidase may trigger allergic reactions in rare cases, so we perform a patch test prior to treatment.
Dissolving treatment
Using fine needles, Hyaluronidase is injected directly into the filler to break it down. This begins working within minutes and continues for 24–48 hours.
Follow-up plan
We monitor your results and can discuss future enhancements once the area has settled (typically after 2 weeks).
Will it affect my natural features?
Hyaluronidase is very targeted, but some natural hyaluronic acid may be affected if the filler is deeply integrated. Your body quickly regenerates its own over time, and we use precise techniques to minimise this risk.

Not always—but if your previous filler has migrated or layered poorly, we may recommend dissolving for best results with new treatment.
