How Does Ear Syringing / Microsuction Work

Ear Syringing involves the insertion of a low-pressure syringe which through water is pumped into the ear canal softening and loosening any wax or debris.

Microsuction involves inserting a low-pressure suction probe into the ear canal after first loosening the wax, which then gently removes the wax.

Who carries out the procedure?

It is carried out by a specialist hearing Audiologist with over 15 years experience in ear wax removal following a FREE ear assessment.

Does it hurt?

A little pressure may be felt but generally pain free.

How many sessions will I need?

If you are a hearing aid wearer on average it would be every 3 months.
If you suffer from a regular build-up of wax, treatments can be performed as needed with relief average every 2- 3 months.

How long is a session of ear wax removal?

If you have been using olive oil spray previously to treatment the procedure shouldn’t take more than 30 minutes.
